Meet the
Coaches
Founder
Jasmit Gill
Jasmit began his Bhangra journey in 2012, taking on roles as a captain, mixer, and choreographer. In recent years, he founded Lalkaare Folk Academy (LFA), where he teaches students proper folk Bhangra. Alongside coaching, Jasmit has judged over ten Bhangra competitions across North America, sharing his insights and expertise. In his free time, he creates custom Bhangra mixes for teams, with more than 50 completed to date.

Gurnek Suri
Gurnek is an accomplished dancer with over 12 years of experience, having competed and achieved success in numerous competitions. In addition to his expertise in bhangra, he is a skilled dhol player. Passionate about teaching, Gurnek is dedicated to sharing and promoting the vibrant traditions of folk culture with new audiences.
